This is a listing of various denominations stances on female pastors/priests/bishops. Note that there may be variations in practice--not every congregation in denominations that allow women pastors/priests/bishops have one present in their congregation. It is also possible that a congregation may have a female pastor/priest/bishop in violation of the policy of the denomination. All listed denominations are categorized by official statements or facts found on their official websites, and such substantiation is linked by clicking on the name of the denomination. Furthermore, among the churches who do not permit women pastors/priests/bishops, some may allow women to be deacons or to teach Sunday school. Please use this as the beginning, and not end, of your research. To suggest additions, direct message the Admin account.
